First Baptist Church of Cap-Haitian is our sister church in Haiti. Joseph Voltaire, the senior pastor, is a long-time friend. As part of our relationship, we send a mission team to Cap-Haitian as often as possible. These teams have built homes and schools, cared for orphans, taught in church and seminary settings and assisted with medical work.
The Haiti Community Resource Development Corporation began as a dream for a clinic-in-a-can mobile health care for Haitians in remote areas. As time has progressed, community involvement has increased as the original need for clean water and vaccinations developed into opportunity for community based nutritional, occupational and medical training. HCRD collaborates with other Wichita organizations to assist families in the Les Cayes and LaGaudray area of Haiti.
Crisis in Haiti - How to Help
Right now, Haiti needs your prayers and your financial support. Our partners are already on the ground in Haiti doing relief work, and they are running out of supplies. Support the efforts of our partners through the efforts of Church World Service and Baptist World Aid by giving through One Great Hour of Sharing. Donations can be made directly to First Baptist Church marked for "OGHS-Haiti Relief".
Watch the International Ministries website for updates on the condition in Haiti and for upcoming volunteer opportunities.
