God's plan for relationships is beyond what we would dream possible. He wants a group of people connected to Himself and then to other people. This is what all of life is really about. Our personal growth is most obvious in the way we relate to others. We learn to interact with open hearts, forgiving freely and doing what is best for the other. Part of God's design for relationships has to do with the quality of the people we spend time with. As we spend time with good people we become good. God's life in one believer is passed on to another believer. Proverbs 13:20 (The Message) says it this way, "Become wise by walking with the wise; hang out with fools and watch your life fall to pieces."
Fellowship is about friendship. Just as we spend time intentionally growing in our relationship with God, we need to grow in our friendships with believers. In a very real way, relating with believers is based on our relationship with Jesus Christ. Some people are somehow drawn together quickly. Other relationships grow from another commonality: a LifeGroup, Bible study or prayer group, or a ministry or fellowship activity.
There are events throughout the year designed to encourage time together. These events may include large groups of people across cultures, individual fellowship events or on-going groups of people who gather in LifeGroups to study or pray. Send us an e-mail so that we can help you connect and make some new friends.
